NITOC NITC 2013

I just finished two awesome days with 46 students from all over the country. Seven of my debate coaches and I gathered them together for the NITOC NITC camp. Let me explain why this camp is absolutely awesome and share a few great pictures, too.

NITOC NITC 2013

NITC (pronounced Nit-see) stands for the Nationals Intensive Training Camp. We invite all competitors who received an invitation to the national tournament to two things: (1) about two weeks of pre-tournament preparation and online collaboration, and (2) two days of drills, scrimmage and strategy right before the national tournament.

I’ve been doing this with my coaches for the past five years. The results have consistently been astounding, even pulling the national champion every from our camp 3/4 times. If you’ve ever been to the national tournament, you know how difficult this can be. We’re quite proud of this!

There are two national tournaments Training Minds caters to at the moment: Stoa and NCFCA. Stoa’s National Invitational Tournament of Champions (NITOC) starts today. We’re hopeful that the next debate champion will be part of our group of 46 kids.
